Renting Silent Disco Headsets in South Florida: What I Tell Everyone Who Calls Me

When people call me about renting silent disco headsets, they ask how it works and what it costs. Here is what I tell them, with real prices, plus the sound, lighting and DJ we can bring to your event.

When people call me about renting silent disco headsets, they almost always start the same way.

"Okay, so how does this actually work?"

Fair question. A silent disco sounds strange until you're standing in one. Everybody has glowing headphones on, everybody is dancing, and if you slide yours off for a second the whole room goes quiet and all you hear is feet and laughing. (Try it at least once. It gets me every time.)

At Ecstatic Living Florida, this is the same gear we use for our own gatherings at The Womb in Lake Worth Beach, so I'm not reading you a brochure here. This is what I tell people on the phone, with the real prices, because I know how annoying it is to hunt for them.

What is a silent disco?

A silent disco is a party where the music plays through wireless headphones instead of speakers. A transmitter sends your music, or your DJ's set, to every headset in the room. Your guests get the music right in their ears. Your neighbors get a lot less of it.

That is why people book them for backyard birthdays, wedding after-parties, silent yoga classes, retreats, team days and festivals.

How much does it cost to rent silent disco headsets in South Florida?

At Ecstatic Living Florida, our silent disco headsets (some people call them silent disco headphones, same thing) run from about $3.50 to $5.25 each, depending on how many you need. The more you rent, the less each one costs.

The easy way to go is one of these:

Need a different number? We rent as few as 10, and custom counts go by these rates:

So 10 headsets for one day is $52.50. Each additional day is about a third of your first day rate. There is also a $250 refundable security hold. That's a hold, not a charge, and it goes back to you after the gear comes back to us. If a headset does not come back, the replacement is $45.

You can see all of this on our silent disco rentals page.

Do I need a transmitter?

Yes, and one comes with every headset rental at no extra cost. One transmitter means everyone hears the same thing, and that is all most parties need.

If you want guests choosing between two playlists or two DJs, you need one transmitter per channel, so you add a second one for $25 a day. Want more than two channels? Ask me and I'll check what's available.

Can I pick up the headsets or do you deliver?

Both. You can pick up your silent disco rental for free at our place in Lake Worth Beach, right here in Palm Beach County (1202 Lucerne Ave, Unit D). Just set a time with me first.

Delivery and pickup is $65 in Palm Beach or Broward County and $99 in Miami-Dade. That covers West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. A last-minute request, stairs or a long carry can add a fee, and I'll confirm every fee with you before you book. Nothing gets shipped, and you're not waiting on a box to show up. Here is how delivery works.

One thing people ask: if you pick up Friday and return Sunday, that counts as 2 rental days.

How far ahead should I book?

For headsets only, we can often confirm within 48 to 72 hours. For a full event bundle, try for 3 to 4 weeks, especially around October and April, which is peak season here. Last minute? Call me anyway. We have pulled things together fast before.

Can I rent sound, lighting and decor too?

Yes. We do sound system rental, lighting rental and decor too, and one quote can cover all of it.

The full list is on our event equipment rentals page.

Do you have a DJ for events?

We do. Our Ecstatic DJ plays ecstatic dance, silent discos, retreats, ceremonies, wellness events, private parties and community gatherings. And if you would rather not run the night yourself, we also offer silent disco event hosting, so you get to actually be at your own party.

Tell me about your event and I'll put a quote together.

What if I want someone to handle all of it?

That's our Full Event Production bundle. It's $1,250 per event for gatherings up to 100 guests, and it includes:

We bring it, set it up, run it and break it down. Need more than 2 transmitters? Just ask. More are on request, at an additional cost. See the full event bundles.

Do you have a space to hold the event?

Yes. You can rent The Womb, our event space in Lake Worth Beach, with a movement floor and a sound system, for up to 40 people. If you want a feel for what we do there, I wrote about the first time I walked into an ecstatic dance, and here is what we have coming up.

How do I book?

Send me your date, how many headsets you want and where the event is. You can request a rental quote or call or text (786) 261-8540, and you'll have it within 24 hours. A 30% refundable deposit holds your date, and full payment is due 7 days before your event.

Ecstatic Living Florida is right here in Lake Worth Beach, and we answer the phone. Pick your date. Bring your people. We've got the headsets.
